When creating a signature scent for a boutique hotel or business, understanding both the nature of the space and its unique location is critical to create a suitable fragrance. The brief for Hotel Tresanton was to marry a fresh uplifting aroma with a nod to the Mediterranean feel of the hotel and location. Blending lemon peel with delicate verbenas and Mediterranean woods was the chosen scent, Lighthouse, which is still used in the hotel today. Hotel Tresanton have kindly allowed me to create a Lighthouse collection for St Mawes Scent Room Coastal Living Collection.

Past Projects
Lighthouse created for the Hotel Tresanton, St Mawes
Our signature scent, Lighthouse, was originally created for The Hotel Tresanton in St Mawes. The brief for Hotel Tresanton was to marry a fresh uplifting aroma with a nod to the Mediterranean feel of the location and the owners Italian heritage. Blending lemon peel with delicate verbenas and Mediterranean woods was the chosen scent, Lighthouse, which is still used in the hotel today. The diffuser remains a favourite at Tresanton today and the Lighthouse range is also available to my St Mawes Scent Room customers.
The brief for the Idle Rocks Hotel in St Mawes was to create a scent suitable for the fabulous Cornish harbourside location whilst including a favourite ingredient, fig. The chosen scent blended fresh fig with sea salt and driftwood and a fresh yet subtle citrus top note.
